Google Maps, Apple Maps and many atlases still cut Morocco in two. We're asking the world's map-makers to show the Kingdom of Morocco whole β coast to Sahara.
A dashed line slices off the southern provinces β an outdated administrative relic, not reality.
The contiguous territory Morocco governs, develops and defends β from the Mediterranean to the deep south.
Add your name. People from every country are welcome β this is about accuracy and dignity.
Morocco is a single country. Its southern provinces β the Sahara β are administered, developed and lived in as part of the Kingdom, with cities, ports, universities and elected officials. Yet many digital maps still draw a dividing line that dates to an unresolved UN file from 1975.
That line is not neutral. It shapes how billions of people picture Morocco, and it lags behind a fast-changing diplomatic reality: the United States recognizes Moroccan sovereignty, and Spain, France and dozens of countries back the autonomy framework, with 30+ consulates opened in Laayoune and Dakhla.
We're not asking anyone to take a side in a conflict. We're asking map-makers to reflect reality and to be consistent β to stop showing two different Moroccos to two different audiences. Read the full background in our Real Map of Morocco series.
