Ouzoud, whose name relates to olives in the local Amazigh language, refers to a spectacular set of waterfalls dropping roughly 110 meters into a gorge of the El Abid River. They are the tallest falls in Morocco and among the most beautiful in North Africa.

Tips for Your Visit
Spring brings the strongest flow thanks to snowmelt and rain, while summer offers warm swimming weather but bigger crowds and lower water levels. Mornings are quieter than afternoons.
Bring water, sun protection and good walking shoes, and carry small cash for cafes, boat rides and guides. Watch your belongings around the macaques, which can be curious. Allow at least half a day on site to enjoy the falls fully.
